NACM Houston is one of the premier affiliates in the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) network. You may also know us as HACM, or the Houston Association of Credit Management, those who have been around credit for a long time, or as NACM of South Texas. The organization has been committed to excellence in service to companies who extend open account payment terms to other companies since 1906...we have so much to offer the business credit professional, it's hard to put it all in one place. Formed to prevent fraud in business transactions 107 years ago, NACM Houston is currently the second largest affiliate in the National Association of Credit Management's national network, which has over 40 locations across the country. NACM Houston is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit trade association, dedicated to service to its business-to-business credit granting membership and deeply committed to the very best in government representation, professional certification and education, service and products for the credit & financial profession. SOME OF OUR SERVICES & PRODUCTS Education & Professional Development Did you know that credit professionals with a Certified Credit Executive (CCE) certification can expect 10% higher wages than a credit manager without one? NACM proudly offers Professional Certifications at three different levels: CCE, Certified Business Fellow (CBF) and, Certified Business Associate (CBA). A major activity of NACM is the providing the opportunity for further education for members. Scholarships are provided for business-credit courses at colleges and institutes in Houston, including the NACM Certification courses . Full and half-day seminars on commercial credit management are scheduled regularly. Members also may take advantage of seminars offered on a wide range of business related topics, self-training and audio/visual programs on a variety of topics as well. Commercial Investigations & Collections Services NACM BCS furnishes our members and non-members alike with a responsible means for quick and economical collection of past due commercial accounts. We have an exceptional record of collecting delinquent debts. There is no fee for this service until the collection is made. Additionally, NACM BCS offers a "PCS Program," or precollect program; for a nominal, set fee a series of letters and calls will be provided to debtors. This allows a very cost-effective system of using the muscle of an agency without the expense to shake payments free from recalcitrant debtors.
